What you’ll get
In this Month of Courage you will
• Understand the difference between fear and anxiety. So you can calm that unnamed dread. The one that floats around and latches on to different things (– world war three, environmental catastrophe, mystery illness symptoms, what the neighbours think, and whether or not you are a bad person…etc, etc). You will learn how to calm your overall ‘free-floating fear’ – so you are out of its grip and no longer low-level afraid of EVERYTHING.
• You will understand what your fear is for, and how to use it as a force for good in your own life. So, that your fear becomes known + manageable. You be able to take action instead of wasting years stuck in your head, second-guessing yourself in misguided attempts to keep yourself safe.
(– You know, like when the universe has to come along to give you an almighty shove in a new direction, or you slump into depression because you’re too afraid to put yourself and your needs first?)
• Identify the core fears that cripple your creativity + sabotage your success. I’ll give you 3 techniques that do this really well, so you can uncover your hidden fears at home, in your own time.
• I’m going to explain the method I’ve used to clear my own crippling fear, so you can work through your fears without intensity, and…
…And, I’ll share the most common fears that we have collectively, so you’ll know you are not alone. That, in fact, your fear is NOT unique to you and your special circumstances. It’s universal.
Finally, I’ll be encouraging you to take action so that you increase your confidence, trust in yourself and faith in life. You’ll be moving out of your comfort zone in small, manageable ways.
You’ll leave with a summary of the mindset and actions you need to do regularly to move past your fear and stay calm, whatever you are dealing with.

From fear to courage
I’d spent years talking to therapists and friends about my fear of coming out of the psychic closet. To be clear, I was not ashamed of my psychic work. Far from it: I actually felt it was sacred and needed protecting.
My anxiety was about being persecuted, judged, penalised, ridiculed or ostracised. Whether this was from a past life, intergenerational trauma or from earlier times in this life, when I had been bullied for being different.
Then, one day May 2014, I realised the anxiety and fear were (almost) gone.
I did not become the Neighbourhood Witch overnight. I was still cautious to fly my faery flag high. BUT I was able to start being more open and reach out to more people professionally. Shining my light a little brighter and being more visible online.
I started using my birth name for work, instead of my old professional name: Amber Garnet. Gradually started to feel brave enough to do other things: sharing my photo online, posting a YouTube video, expressing myself more vulnerably in my writing.
I have battled with the intuitive part of myself for years. I’ve been afraid of it. I’ve rejected it. I’ve tried to fit in. To hide.
Fear of disapproval
In psychological terms, this is called ‘inner oppression’. It’s when you take in so many negative messages about what you are, you reject that part of yourself in order to conform. By conforming there’s hope you will gain approval and respect from the world. You will be safe.
There was a voice in my head full of warnings. You are not good enough. You are a fraud. You will be attacked (verbally and otherwise). You will be a laughing stock. You will be considered mad.
In my search to feel safe and validated, I collected qualifications. Yet, after every certification and training I completed, the fear never really went away.
I was clearly in conflict, controlled by my fears, and this affected my life.
Dissolving fear with EFT
The single thing that helped me transition most from hiding hermit to Glinda The Good Witch was Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, also known as “tapping”).
While tapping I got very specific about what I was afraid of and worked through various scenarios in my head. I worked through any past experiences I’d had that reinforced my sense that it was not safe to be me.
It was like chopping down a forest, one tree at a time. Eventually, once the tallest trees had been felled, the whole forest fell down.
Understanding the context for my fears was key, as well as a persistent determination to be free of them, combined with regular action.
